Protection Circuit Design
Our customer approached the APLUS design group and inquired about a custom lithium battery protection module to be designed and manufactured in concert with an upgraded battery technology. The improvement consisted of migrating from the Nickel cadmium (NiCD) battery in their product to Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4).
The APLUS engineering team was able to design and supply a PCB meeting the customer’s electrical and mechanical requirements. The new unit is undergoing final product testing. Upon approval, the LiFePO4 battery protection module will replace the older NiCD technology with higher capacity, reliable lithium iron phosphate technology.
